What are eyelash extensions?

Semi-Permanent Individual Eyelash Extensions are the application of real mink or synthetic individual lashes applied to your own natural individual lashes. They are individually bonded to each of your own natural lashes are used to enhance the natural eye shape by adding length, curl & volume to your natural lashes & are tailor made to enhance your specific eye shape & lash line.Lash extensions come in a variety of lengths, thickness, curls & colours. Eyelash extensions give the appearance of having mascara on without the messy clumps and smudging of makeup & of course the time consuming regime mascara requires first thing in the morning & removal at night! Perfect for the wake up & go busy lifestyle!

Do lash extensions damage your natural lashes?

The biggest myth is that lash extensions ruin your own lashes. They do not. If applied correctly and properly using the correct size,length & thickness for your own natural lash strength and length, they are safe & do not ruin the health of your natural lashes. Be sure not to rub your eyes or tug or pull on the extensions because this can cause lash loss & even damage to your natural lashes. If lashes are applied properly by a qualified lash artist & applied to each individual lash properly & professionally removed by a lash artist no damage will be caused.

How long do lash extensions last?

Since each lash extension is attached to a single eyelash, they will fall out naturally along with the natural growth cycle of each lash. We recommend an infill appointment to maintain your lashes thickness and style every two to three weeks. In addition, your lashes might fall out if you pick at them or try to pull them out yourself, which is a big no-no. But if you avoid those two problems, your lashes should only fall out due to a lash shed or professional removal.

Can i wear make up with lash extensions?

The eyelash extensions and the adhesive are both deep black to give the appearance of mascara and often times eyeliner, so makeup is not really necessary. If you do decide to wear makeup/mascara, avoid oil based and waterproof products as those will break down the adhesive faster. The most important bond of the eyelash extension and the natural lash is at the base so mascara may be worn on the tips of the extensions which can allow you to go an extra few days before your touch up and straighten any "lazy lashes".

How do I clean my lashes?

It is necessary to clean & brush your lashes/lash line daily to prevent eye irritation, infection, blepharitis or other eye health issues. To do so, use an oil-free makeup remover on your lash line/extensions to fully remove any makeup/debris in the lashes so as to keep your eyes healthy & allow the lashes to perform their primary function of keeping things out of your eyes! We retail an amazing foaming cleanser that is specially formulated for eyelash extension wearers that's gentle & safe on the natural lash & extension adhesive. Baby shampoo is often used as a lash cleanser as well.

Okay, I'm ready to make my lash extension appointment.. How do I prepare?

We recommend not wearing mascara to your appointment or using any oil-based makeup products around the eyes. This will help the adhesive stick better and make the application process flow much smoother.If you shower prior & wash your hair too,this will defeat sudden panic when you realise you cannot wash your hair the following morning in the first 24 hour period after application. Fresh-bare faced, no make up, freshly washed, dried hair & freshly showered is best to avoid over excessive exposure to moisture & ABSOLUTELY NO CONTACT LENSES ARE TO BE WORN DURING APPLICATION! This is because if glue comes into contact with the contact lenses this can cause it to shrink within seconds and cause damage to your eyes!
